Obituary For ANDERSON WILLIAMS

A Private Memorial Service Will Be Held At A Later Date.

Anderson Williams was born October 13, 1958 in Opelousas, LA to Anderson Thomas and Eula Mae Lazard-Williams. He departed this life on September 28, 2021. He graduated from Opelousas Senior High in Louisiana.

He was a loving husband, son, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was employed by Scales Construction for many years. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved to cook and his specialty was his Louisiana Gumbo. He loved sport and his favorite team was the New Orleans Saints.

He united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, Shirley Williams, on June 5, 2003. They enjoyed listening to music together and their favorite genre was the Blues.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Williams; children, Corey Wayne (Erica) Chavis of Springdale, AK, Kristen-Stelly (Delasker) Jones of Tyler Town, MS, Edward Charles (Dames) Williams of Houston, TX, Cassius Cummins, Patrick Cumming and Maisha Taylor all of Wichita Falls TX and Tabatha Taylor of Dallas, TX; father, Anderson Thomas of Houston ,TX; four sisters, Leanna (Joseph) Dejean, Laura Lazard all of Opelousas, LA, Vanessa (Jerome)Thomas of New Orleans, LA, Sharina (Charlie)Taylor of Midway, GA, and Catrece Thomas of Houston, TX; a special granddaughter, KaLandria Taylor and twenty nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Andrea Williams; mother, Eula Mae Williams; three brothers, Edward Charles, Lester James, Andrew Williams Jr.; two sisters, Jane Jones and Francilla Thomas; nephew, Jermon Dejean and niece, Sqalato Ifill; maternal grandparents, Toussaint and Anna Lazard; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Melina Thomas; a host of other relatives and friends that loved him dearly.
