Antoinette Denise Taylor Mitchell was born in Wichita Falls, TX on April 28, 1975 to Carolyn Rawlings and graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1993. She furthered her education by graduating from the American Commercial College in 2013 to become a Certified Medical Assistant. She departed from this life with her fiancé, Patrick Briggs, at her side on January 24, 2021.

Denise was a devoted mother of two sons whom were the most important part of her life. She was a family individual that went out of her way to have annual get together festivities on holidays just to get family and friends together in one place to have a great time and reacquainted due to busy life. She was a great listener, mentor and problem solver. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her uncle Duke; grandmother Alma; grandfather, Andrew; and Aunt Thelma Louise

Denise is survived by her mother, Carolyn Taylor; sister, Camona Taylor; sons, Tavares Byrd and Trashoun Houges; three grandchildren, Umara Plummer, Monique Byrd, and Treanna Houges; three nephews, LaFayette Taylor, Thomas Cobbs, Jr. and Clifford Pope, Jr.; three nieces, Lamiya LaCaste, Tyrhiana Dickson, and Taylor Mason; two Godsons, Earl Mitchell and Steven Harderman; her lifetime friend and confident, Sonya Pope; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends.
