Our Amazing Father, Billy Gene Redmon, was called home to be with the Lord on January 29, 2026. He was born March 12, 1945 to Billy S. Redmon and Doris J. Moss.
Billy received all levels of his grade school education while attending school in Spur, TX, where he graduated. At the age of 18, he moved to Hereford, TX with his mother after receiving a job opportunity. While living in Hereford, he met the mother of his oldest 3 daughters, Lisa Dianne, Felicia Ann, and Alicia Deann, all who share rhyming names.
He later moved to Wichita Falls in the late 70’s and began a new career employed by Cryovac Corporation in Iowa Park, TX until his retirement.
Billy was deeply devoted to Christ, his relationship with friends, his community, and most importantly, his family. Although he never received a coaching degree, his love for sports opened many opportunities to coach and bond with his daughters and many that were able to know him through sports.
He loved music, fishing, teasing his daughters and many could say he was the Dallas Cowboys biggest fan. He wore many hats, he was reliable and dependable in the community; an amazing father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.
Billy met the love of his life, his best friend and soulmate, Bertha M. Quinney while she was working at JCPenny. He would go into the store daily, until after several “no’s” she finally agreed to go on a date with him.
They later married January 6, 1983, and later welcomed another beautiful daughter, Billie J. Redmon (BJ), his Name Sake.
Billy is joined in eternal life by his wife Bertha. He was also preceded in death by his father, Billy S.; mother, Dorris J.; brother, Victor; sister, Gertrude, and his granddaughter, Ambriel.
Billy leaves his cherished legacy to his daughters, Lisa Dianne Williams (Gilbert), Felicia Ann Somerville (Jason), Alicia Deann Corker, and Billie Jean Redmon, Wichita Falls, TX; sister, Jessie Mae Cobb (Don); brother and lifelong best friend, Ray Norwood, Wichita Falls, TX; grandchildren, Ashton, Zackary, Anjanie, Aleyasia, Isaiah, Ronisha, Ashley, Alexus, Ma’Kyha and Gianna; great-grandchildren, Jaden, Raylee, Aubrie, Ja’Rome, Trintston, Trintity, Kani, Kamdyn and Daxton; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
