Christene Williams was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was known as “Nannie” to her grandchildren. Christene Williams went to her eternal rest on March 8,2024 at the age of 77.
Christene Williams was born on July 31, 1946 to Lewis and Celia Williams in Kansas City, Kansas. She attended Mount Pleasant Baptist Church for many years where she served as a member of Mission #2, Everready Circle and Usher board. She also was on the Kitchen Committee and worked in the Children’s Nursery.
Christene had four children who meant the world to her. Loretta Williams, Shawn Williams, André Williams, Adrian “AJ” Williams all of Wichita Falls, Texas.
She is proceeded in death by her mother and father, Lewis and Celia Williams; son, Eric Shawn “Honey Bear” Williams; brothers, Albert and Lewis Williams Jr; sister, Mary Randel; great grandson, Eric “EJ” Wilson Jr; special friend, Ruby Johnson and best friend, JoNell Collins
Christene is survived by daughter, Loretta Williams; sons; André (Lillian) Williams and Adrian “AJ” Williams; grandchildren, Jermarcus Williams, Celia (Eric) Wilson, Ce’Aira (James) Demerson, Darius Barrett, Shawn Williams, Adrian Hargrove, Allana Williams, Devyn Williams, Jayce Williams, and Korbyn Williams; Fifteen great-grandchildren; bonus children, Aaron Carey, LaShaunda Baker, Olivia VanZandt, and Elfrida VanZandt; special friends, Kay Chapa and family, Dr. Daunne (Mark) Peters and family, Dr. Tim (Kimi) McCellan and family, Tommy Isabell and family, Sylvia Wallace and family; a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and special people near and dear to her heart.
Christene will always be remembered for her loving and nurturing spirit. We couldn’t have asked for a better mom/Nannie and we will miss her every day.

Mrs. Christene (Mama Christene) is beautiful inside and out. A beautiful Soul. She loved me and loved her. I will NEVER forget her preparing meals for me to take back to college with me when I came home on weekends, checking on me when my baby was in the hospital, visiting her or an occasional phone call. She always had time. She will be missed. Praying for the family, our church family and everyone else she touched.
The Petty's knew her as Momma Christene, she always had a smile on her face and food on the grill or oven. Momma Christene was always a phone call away if you needed her for anything. She lit up when taking about her family she was and so proud of all of you. You will be missed beautiful lady.
