Darla Denise Ford-Tilford was born to John D. and Doris Ford by Leslie Logan & Gayle Banning Rodriguez on April 14, 1973 in Wichita Falls, TX. On Sunday, June 14, 2020, she gained her wings at the age of 47 at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, TX. Darla was a loving wife, daughter, mother and friend.

Darla was a member of the St. Matthew’s Baptist Church under the leadership of the Late Rev. L.W. Washington. Darla sang in the church choir, volunteered in Vacation Bible School, and was active in the Baptist Training Union (BTU).

Darla attended the Seventh Day Adventist Pre-School, Austin Elementary, Zundelowitz (Zundy) Junior High, and graduated from Wichita Falls High School. After high school, she attended The University of Texas at Austin. Darla participated in and volunteered for many organizations and clubs such as JROTC, National Honors Society, Daughters of American Revolution, Lonestar Drill team, and Evelyn Vivian Polk Social Aid Club INC (EVP).

During her attendance at the University of Texas at Austin, Darla met her first Husband, Marcos Crisell Lee, in 1993 and they married June 29, 2001. From this union, they had three children, Jasias Tyrell, Jamiya Kaiyell, and Javian Jabrell Lee. Years later on November 26, 2011, she married Duncan Eric Tilford.

Darla is preceded in death by brother, Larry Ford and great aunt, Cecil Yarbrough.

She is survived by her husband, Duncan; three children, Jasias, Jamiya, & Javian; grandchild Azariah Amias Lee; parents, John D. and Doris Ford & Leslie Logan & Gayle Banning Rodriguez; brothers, Lester and Dwight Ford, Derek Logan, Leslie Logan Jr, and Isaiah Anderson; mother in law, Marjorie A. Tilford; brother in law, Brian K. Tilford, best friend, Janis Marie Waldon; and many more relative, family and friends.

    Darla, my daughter, I miss you so very much😭 I had hardly gotten to know you and then I had to let go. I'm sorry that I could not save you, but, maybe you were ready to go-like me. You have most everybody that I love, up there already. I want to join everybody up there. Love Ya 🥰 Mom
