Deslandes Lloyd Young was born February 28, 1975 to the late Judge L. Young and the late Ruthie Mae Young in Columbus, Mississippi. He departed this earth Monday, January 31, 2022.

Dee and his family relocated to Wichita Falls Texas in 1979.

He attended Kate Burgess Elementary school, Kirby Jr. high school, and J. H. Hirschi high school where he graduated in 1993. He attended Wayland Baptist University where he received degrees in business, and criminal psychology.

Dee was employed with the North Texas State Hospital for 18 years before he departed this life. He was a huge football fan, dedicated to cheering for his beloved Las Vegas Raiders. He enjoyed talking to his siblings and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death and escorted to his heavenly home by his parents Judge L. Young and Ruthie May Young his grandparents and his beloved aunt Ruby Adams and Gladys Robinson.

Dee “Dusty “ leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his sister Fostenia Craft of Wichita falls, Texas, brother Gywan Tanner (Diane) of Wichita Falls, sister Latanya Collins( Vincent) of Denver Colorado, sister Shalvon Jones(Douglas) of San Antonio, Texas, as well as his nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends who he loved so much.

    I knew him as Dee. As the kind soul he was, people was naturally drawn to him. His office was across the hall from mine. I could hear people stopping by to chat with him, about anything and everything, throughout the day, and he would welcome and chat with them as if they were the first person he saw in the day. He will be missed dearly. My condolences for all those who loved him. Dr. Ammatuna
