Donnie Steve Alexander, 69, of Wichita Falls passed away on November 18, 2025. God called his name so softly that only he could hear. He heard, gained his wings, and went home to be with our Heavenly Father. Donnie was born on September 4, 1956 in Roxton, TX to the late Jasper Alexander, Jr. and Florene Preston Alexander. He graduated from S.H. Rider High School, Class of 74. During his years at Rider, he was known for his basketball skills and is still known as one of the greatest players for the Rider Raiders and in Wichita Falls. After graduating, he served a short stint in the U.S. Navy. Following his service in the Navy, he attended and graduated from Jarvis College (now Jarvis University). During his tenure at Jarvis, he pledged in the Phi Beta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity in Spring 1980.
Donnie accepted the Lord at an early age at Antioch Baptist Church, Wichita Falls, TX. After moving to Dallas, TX, he united with True Vine of Holiness Missionary Baptist Church. He was very active in many ministries in the church and was ordained as a Deacon October 18, 2020.
Donnie had various occupations including admissions counselor at his alma mater, truck driving, and his last employment with BJMC Global, a FEMA contractor. His employer sent a statement to be shared: “Donnie dedicated the past 10 years to supporting FEMA’s disaster recovery efforts across the country most recently serving with BJMC Global and previously with FEMA. His work touched countless lives, and his impact will be remembered for years to come."
