Doris Ann Lindsey-Ford was born on September 9, 1931 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the George Lindsey and Mattie Lee Lindsey. She passed at the age of 89 on November 4th 2020 at Advanced Rehab and Healthcare in Wichita Falls, Texas Doris graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and later worked at the Wichita Falls Health Department. She found her passion as a school nurse at Rider High School. She loved the Lord and attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir. Doris was married to the love of her life, John D Ford for 72 years and from this union, they had four children, sons, Dwight, Larry, and Lester Ford, and daughter, Darla Ford-Tilford. Doris is preceded in death by father, George Lindsey; mother, Mattie Lee Lindsey; brothers, Herbert and Hubert Lindsey; son, Larry Ford, and daughter, Darla Ford-Tilford. Doris was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Doris is survived by husband, John D Ford; sons, Dwight and wife, Amada and Lester Ford; grandchildren, Tangerine Ford, Jasias Lee, Jamiya Lee, and Javian Lee; great grandson, Azariah Amias Lee; and many more friends and family.
