Eula Marie Robinson, age 80, passed peacefully from this life and into the gates of heaven on January 11, 2022, in Wichita Falls.

Eula was born on June 10, 1941, in Spur, Texas the youngest of seven children, to Elvin Burrell, Sr., and Cardie Edwards Burrell. She was raised by her oldest sister, after the death of their mother and father. Eula Burrell married the love of her life, Marvin Robinson, on June 10, 1970, and he preceded her in death in 2017.

Eula graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Wichita Falls on June 1, 1961. She continued her education at Draughon’s College. She worked as an Accounting Clerk at Texas Electric Service for over 10 years and resigned due to the transfer of her husband to military assignment in Spain. Upon returning to the states she was Secretary and Office Manager of Mt Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church for 25 plus years. She retired from the church in 2006 and continued her service and assisting when needed.

She was known for generosity, compassion and always put the good of others above her own interest. Her inner light and beauty was reflected in her soul and she touched the lives of many people. She devoted her life to God, her husband and family. She was a long time member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and received many accolades for her commitment and dedication to the church. As a member she was a lead mentee for the Young Girls Mentor Program, a member of Mission I, a sponsor for the Youth Usher board, actively served on Usher Board 1, and donated her time and talents to the church kitchen, nursery and decorating committee.

Those preceding Eula in death in addition to her husband, Marvin are brothers, Elvin Burrell, Jr., and Cecil Burrell; sisters, Alva Lois McGowan and Mildred Sweet; and step-daughter, Nicole Cooper.

Those remaining to cherish Eula’s memory are: daughters, Cardie Robinson­ Gilliam (Roger) of Wichita Falls, TX, Ranada Smith (Gregory) of Spring, TX and Kay Robinson (Ron) of Duarte, CA; grandchildren, Devin Gilliam, Ryan Caudle, Jalen Smith, Kenya Smith, Taelar Smith, Eric Brigham (Shantel), Brandon Cooper, Trey Cooper, Marquina Gilliam-Hicks, McCall Jackson, and Mikel Shaw; sister, Bernie C. McKinney; brother, Willie James Burrell; 15 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in laws, cousins and friends.

    Mrs. Robinson played such a huge part in my upbringing in the Church (Mt. Pleasant). I have such great memories of Usher practice, Congress, Wednesday nights, Saturdays and Sundays. We LIVED at church. She has always been such a sweet lady that I have always loved and adored. Rest in Love Mrs. Robinson. I'm praying Cardie, Renata and the entire family. Love, Shā

    I knew Eula most of my life. She was my neighbor, friend, my sister's friend/neighbor, my daughter's friend's mother and my longtime church friend. I will miss her great spirit and beautiful smile. My condolences and prayers to her beautiful daughters and family. May God keep you in His care!
