Rev. Tyrone Turner, Pastor
Felicia Shirell Walters was born on January 8, 1974, to Elwelch Walters Sr. and Opal Anders in Wichita Falls, Texas. From an early age, Felicia was spiritually inclined and was baptized at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, where her faith journey began.
She graduated from Hirschi High School in 1991, where she was a member of the Hirschi Highlights. Felicia carried that same grace and vibrant spirit throughout her life. She was a loving and devoted mother to her two sons, Marcus Deshon Walters and Jonathan Allen Walters. Her children were her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Felicia was a bright light to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She possessed a beautiful intellect and had a deep love for poetry, writing, and a wide variety of music. Her presence brought warmth, wisdom, and encouragement to family and friends alike.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elwelch Walters Sr.; sister, Deborah Walters; and beloved son, Marcus Walters.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted mother, Opal Anders; son, Jonathan Walters; cherished grandchildren, Jayden, Jaxon, Jaleyiah, Jeriyah, and Maya Walters; sister, Dionne Smith (Juan); and brother, Elwelch Walters Jr. She also leaves behind nieces, Sarah Walters, Esasha Walters, and Edith Gaut (Alonzo), Shanticka Petty (Dorian); nephews, Dwight Walters (Elva), Jevon Smith (Omedi), Reggie Smith (Mary), and Corey Smith (Aliyah) Charvarous Beaver, Tyric Richardson, Elwelch Walters III, Alonzo, Elias, and Eyston Walters; along with a host of extended family members and loved ones whose lives she touched deeply and who will miss her dearly.
Felicia’s love, strength, and radiant spirit will live on in all who knew and loved her.
