With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Fred Edwards Jr., a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who departed this earthly life on October 9, 2026, at the age of 47. Fred was born on September 22, 1979, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, to Fred Edwards Sr. and Beulah Edwards. He later made his home in Lawton, Oklahoma, where he spent his final days.
Throughout his life, Fred was a hardworking man who dedicated his years to the construction industry. His hands were no strangers to hard work, and his life was a testament to strength, perseverance, and dedication. Through his labor, he helped build structures that will stand for years, just as the memories he created will forever stand in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Beyond his work, Fred was a man whose life touched many. He was loved by countless family members and friends, each carrying special memories of the moments they shared with him. His presence, his laughter, and the memories he leaves behind will forever be treasured.
Fred leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving wife, Unique Johnson Edwards; two beloved sons, Amun Edwards and Yahier Edwards; cherished daughter, Ruby Rose Edwards; and brother, Darrell Winley. He also leaves behind a host of loving relatives, extended family, and dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Although Fred’s earthly journey has come to an end, the love he gave and the memories he created will never fade. His family will carry his legacy forward, remembering not only the work of his hands but the life he lived and the love that surrounded him. Today, we do not simply say goodbye. We honor a life that mattered, a man who worked hard, a father whose children will carry his name and memory, and a husband whose place in his wife’s heart can never be replaced.
