Isaia F. Turner was born on April 3, 1997 in Little Rock, AR to the parents of Antoinette and Derrick Turner. He crossed the finish line on June 13, 2022. Isaia accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Robert M. Castle. He had a strong belief in God and was regular in attendance in Sunday School and Bible Training. During regular service he would take notes on the delivered message by the pastor. He was active in the Youth Choir, Mime Team and Usher Board. You would often find him playing the guitar for many services. He was also active in Ambassadors Club under Sister Josie Roberts and was presented during the Beautillion as a Beau during his senior year. He graduated from Hirschi High School in 2015. He was an outstanding athlete while participating in Football, Track and Field and other sports. His love for body fitness allowed him to maintain and perform in many physical activities. His natural abilities for art at Kirby Math Science Center provided him the opportunity to compete in UIL at the high school level. After graduating from high school, his Football, Track and Field collegiate career allowed him to attend Wayland Baptist University for two years in Plainview, TX. He continued his education at Prairie View A &M University majoring in Health Science. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Alfonza Bray and Pearlie Lee Sankey; great grandparents, Fred Stevenson and Elnora Cunningham; Johnnie Sr. and Addie Reed; Uncles, Johnnie L. Reed, Jr; and cousin, Johnnie L. Reed, III. He leaves to cherish his memories, mother, Antoinette Turner (Alphonzo Bray); father, Derrick Turner; significant other, Mariah Lynn; brothers, Roman Turner, Matthew Turner, Quintin Bray, Jaden Bray, and Jaben Bray; sisters, Erika Bray, Brittany Hall, and Tiffany Hall; Grandparents, Danny and Shree Reed, Joe Ann Williams and Daisy Williams (great-grandmother); aunts, Jessica Reed, Geneva Reed-McClean (Eric), Rose Carolyn Lige; uncles, Brian Reed, Reginald Bray, Timothy Lige (Regina) and Heywood Lige; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Condolences

I wish to express my sincere condolences to all of the Turner family and Friends of Isaia. I am honored to have known him and his lovely family for almost 10 years and was extremely privileged to be their family physician during that time. Isaia's heart and soul will always live within those he encountered, and those fortunate enough to have known him, can take solace in the fact that his smile, his laughter, his humor, and all of his accomplishments will bring peace to our lives as we continue to grieve and pray for comfort. I will continue to keep Isaia and his family and friends in my prayers with the hope that Isaia is now in the care of Our Lord for eternity.

Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to meet Isaia, but I know his mother Antoinette. In fact, we grew up together in the same town and the same schools. She is an amazing person, very athletic, smart, and beautiful in the outside and on the inside. So, I can only imagine how amazing and talented her son, Isaia was. As a mother myself, I cannot imagine what you and your family are going through. Please know that you are not alone and God will be with you in times of pain, as well as, times of healing. Stay strong my beautiful friend and know that you have been blessed with an amazing family and friends.
