On Monday, July 27, 2020, Mr. James Edward Culp passed away at his home in Wichita Falls, TX. Mr. Culp was born in Wichita Falls on January 7, 1958 to the marriage union of Johnny Culp, Sr. and the late Hazel Marie Lawrence Culp.

James attended and graduated from Hirschi High School in 1976. His occupational skills included cooking, landscaping, painting, roofing and laborer.

Mr. Culp made a profession of faith in the early 1990’s and in the late 2000, he joined Mitchell Chapel Outreach Ministry under the pastorage of the late Bishop B. J. Mitchell.

In 1982, James met Debra Jean Lewis and to their relationship of twenty-two years, two daughters, Ebonie and Xzabia and one son, Treven Culp were born.

Preceded him in death are his brother, Carl Lee Culp, Vernon Lee, Sr and Kenneth Lee, Sr. and mother, Hazel Marie Lawrence Culp and Debra J. Lewis.

James leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Ebonie Culp and Xzabia Culp of Wichita Falls, TX; one son, Treven Culp of Wichita Falls, TX; step-daughter, April Lewis and step-son, Johnny Lewis, Jr. of Wichita Falls, TX; sister, Annie Mae Lee Jones (Roosevelt; brothers, Johnny Culp, Jr. (Mittie) and Larry Donnell Lawrence, Sr. (Cindy); three grandchildren; step grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews family and friends including special friends, Mrs. Ethel Vaughn Taylor and Mr. James Austin.
