James Sparks White, Jr. was born on March 11, 1923, in Chickasha, Oklahoma to James S. White and Juanita Carmel Beaty White. He departed this life on December 12, 2021.

He was a graduate of Langston University in Langston, Oklahoma and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He was employed with the Department of Defense for thirty eight years and worked at Sheppard Air Force Base as an Air Frame Mechanic Instructor until his retirement in 1989.

He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church serving as a deacon until his health declined. He enjoyed writing, teaching and volunteered for several organizations throughout his retirement years.

His parents and siblings, Corene Ramsey, Mae Landis White, Lorene Richardson, Carl Jackson White and sons, Waymond White and Melvin Parramore preceded him in death.

James was a loving son, brother, uncle, husband, father and grandfather to his family.

James leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of fifty-three years, Julia White; children, Lorraine Parramore, Karen Young, Larry Turbin (Ruth) and Nakisha McDaniel (Eric); eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren a host of relatives and friends.
