Jerry Dean Lee Sr. was born March 15th 1952 to the late Jake Lee and Freddie Mae Dixon in Waco, TX. He departed this life on March 16th 2022. He started his education in Hubbard, TX and completed his education at Wichita Fall High School with the class of 1970.

Jerry met his forever love and life partner Diane Phillips the summer of 1969 and married her December 27th 1972. He was a passionate father to Jerry Dean Lee Jr. and Kendrick Krajca Lee. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed making memories with his wife, sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Jerry started working at Cryovac in Wichita Falls for 10 years, then continued for another 15 years at North Texas State Hospital . He loved working for the Durham School services as a bus monitor.

Jerry united with Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and served as a faithful member of the usher board, brother hood, and Sunday school until his health failed.

In his past time, he enjoyed fishing and playing dominos. He was a die hard Los Angeles Lakers and Las Vegas Raiders fan. In his spare time, he was dedicated to going to see his grands and great grands play sports.

Proceeding him in death is his parents, Jake Lee and Freddie Mae Dixon; brother, Ricky Dixon; maternal grandparents, Fred Dixon and Rithia Jones; paternal grandparents, Janie Lee; He leaves to cherish his memories, wife of forty-nine years, Diane Lee; sons, Jerry Dean Lee Jr. and Kendrick Krajca Lee; brother, Nelvia “Dick” James Dixon; sister, Jennie Edwards (Leroy); brother-in-law, Burris Phillips (Patricia); grandchildren, Jerry Dean Smith, Ashley Diara Lee, Anastaeshia Zhane Fields (Terry), Skyy De’Asia Lee, London Rae Lee; great grandkids, Jaylynn and Kiylynn Smith, Koy Jones, England Colbert, Sunni Fields; aunts, Nora Ingram, Gloredia Phillips; many other relatives and friends. .

    Jerry and I played Coyote varsity basketball together at WFHS our senior year (69/70). He was a really good basketball player and we had some great times together. He was full of life and always made me laugh. Special man. In the arms of the Lord now. May the Lord bless and comfort his family - David Anderson
