Joann Bobo was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, on May 14, 1956 to Lillian (Turner) Bobo and Billy Joe Hardge, Sr. Joann was the fifth child of nine born to Lillian Turner Bobo. Joann attended public school in Wichita Falls and graduated high school from Wichita Falls High.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and rededicated her life in her later years. Joann was a member of The Church of the Living God, Pillar and Ground of the Truth where she loved singing in the church choir.

Joann was the mother of two sons, Deneal Bobo of Wichita Falls, TX and Derick Bobo of Stockton, CA. She worked at many different factories and domestic jobs. She loved people and would give you the shirt off her back. She enjoyed life to the fullest and had an infectious smile. She had a special love for her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.

Joann left this earthly home on September 7, 2021 while residing in in Burkburnett, Texas.

Joann is preceded in death by her parents, sister Diana Bobo Brown; her grandmother Rosa Mae Rice and nephews, Tony Bobo and Gregory Johnson.

She leaves to love and cherish her memory her sons, Deneal Bobo of Wichita Falls, TX and Derick Bobo of Stockton, CA; her grandchildren, her siblings, Scottie (Mary) Bobo, David (Velmer) Bobo, Phillis (Herman) Caldwell, Anthony Williams, Troy (Francis) Turner, Gary (Angela) Bobo, Marion (Sandra) Williams, Billy Joe Hardge Jr., Tammy Stevenson and two special cousins Cynthia K. Armstrong and Jonathan Rice. A host of other nieces and nephews other family and friends.
