Leon Lawrence was born November 22, 1946 in Wichita Falls, TX to Willie Lawrence, Sr. and Mandie (Bush) Lawrence. He departed this life November 16, 2025 at his home, cared for by his nieces, Wilma James, Sandra Berry and Sophia Adair and great nieces, Keova Darcus, Zoey Mitchell and Joy McDade.
He attended Booker T. Washington High School, Wichita Falls TX. He was self employed.
Leon was preceded in death by his father, Willie Lawrence, Sr. and mother, Mandie (Bush) Lawrence; sisters, Mary, Rose and Glenda Lawrence; brothers, Willie Jr., Raymond, Leo and Earl Lawrence; the love of his life, Candice Davis.
Leon leaves to cherish four stepdaughters, Lois Glasker, (Bruce), Dallas, TX, Latonya Johnson (Robert), Dallas, TX, Bridget Escort and Tara Young, Wichita Falls, TX; one sister, Linda Wherry who resides in California; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
