Lloyd was born on May 11, 1942 in Calvert, Texas to the late Lloyd Stevenson and Olivia Pope Stevenson. He was the joy of Lloyd and Olivia life because he was their first son and third child.

Lloyd graduated from Calvert Colored High School in Calvert, Texas. He loved to fish and hunt as a young boy. Lloyd joined New Magnolia Baptist Church in Calvert, TX and sang in the choir.

After he graduated from high school, he moved to Wichita Falls, TX. He united with Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church under the leadership of Revered R. L. Castle. He was a member of the brotherhood. He also served in the Original West Texas Association Brotherhood. He was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and served until failing health. He met and married Earline Walters. They had one precious son, Craig DeWayne Stevenson. Lloyd worked at Town and Country. He also worked at Cryovac. He loved sports and young people. He was a coach for the Boys club for many years.

Leaves to Cherish His Memory Wife, Earline Stevenson; Grandson, Davian Stevenson, and Daughter-in-law, Lakrisa Stevenson. Sisters: Willie Mae (Rev. R. L. Hunter): Sylvia Dennis of Wichita Falls, TX and Patricia (Claude Terry) of Dallas, Texas. Brothers: Reverend Floyd Stevenson (Betty); Ray Stevenson (Tassy); H. S. Stevenson (Patricia) of Wichita Falls, Texas. He also leaves a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Preceding him in death: Craig Stevenson, Son; Lloyd and Olivia Stevenson, Parents; Sisters, Atlene Stevenson Maddox and Doris Stevenson McKinney.

Thank you to The Love of My Life for 59 Years of a wonderful marriage. I love you always and forever – Your Lovely Wife, Earline Stevenson.
