Mary Frances Barber was born September 14, 1947 in Collins, MS to the late George McFather and Viola Myers. She gained her wings on November 5. 2023.

She attended school in Collins, MS. She was employed as a domestic worker for many years.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, cousins and friends.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her family dancing and enjoying music. Her favorite music was the Blues, especially B. B. King and Johnny Taylor. She was an excellent cook. Her specialty was soul food.

She moved to Wichita Falls in 2020 to be closer to her sons, Felton and George Barber.

She is preceded in death by husband, Ray Barber; parents, George and Viola; sisters, Emma D.; brothers, Emmit Lamb and Henry Lamb

She leaves to cherish her memories, sons, Lee Barber, Donald Barber, Henry Johnson, Felton Barber (LaToya) and George Barber (Mary); daughter, Michelle Barber, LaShaun Green, Lawanda Green, Viola Green; eighteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
