Nellie Sue Moore-Anderson Chavis was born May 26, 1936 in Paris Texas to the union of Agnes and Sammy D. Moore. She departed this life on February 6, 2021. She attended school in Paris Texas where she graduated from Gibbons High School. After graduation, she moved to Wichita Falls, Texas where she met and married R. L. Anderson who preceded her in death. To that union five children were born.

She joined Mt. Pleasant in the early seventies where she served on the Usher Board. She was a long time member of Mission #1 and served as a Past President.

In 1973, she married William Chavis who preceded her in death. To that union one child was born.

She attended Midwestern University and became a LVN and worked at the Wichita Falls State Hospital. She also worked many years for the Allred Family. She was a life long member of the Felix Lister Elks Lodge. After retiring, she remained active in her community by delivering meals for Meals on Wheels. She loved to cook and was good at it. She shared that love with her church, friends, neighbors and most of all her family especially her grandchildren. Most recently she made mask and gave them to anyone she knew who needed them.

She is preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; brother, Sammy Worthy, sister, Dorothy Diggs; and daughter, Pamela Anderson; grandson, Keithie Graham.
