Princella L. McKenzie departed this life on January 21, 2021 at the age of 89. Princella was born in a rural area of Direct Texas on June 27, 1931 to the parentage of George L Mosley and Velma T. Robbins.

She received her primary education in Direct Texas and her secondary education in Paris Texas where she graduated from Gibbons High School in May 1946.

Princella accepted Christ at a young age and was a lifetime member of Antioch Baptist Church where she toiled faithfully under 8 different Pastors beginning with Pastor U.S. Cornelius in 1964 to the current Pastor Virgil Nesbit, Jr. Some of her affiliations over the years included the Women’s Mission Choir and Sanctuary Choir where she held the position of Sanctuary Choir Secretary. She was an active member of the Deborah Circle, Missionary Society, Sunday School Teacher, as well as serving on the Meals on Wheels committee until her health slowed her down. She was also a member of the Heroines of Jericho. She was presented the Antioch Baptist Church Member of the Year award in 2011.

After 37 years of employment as a unit clerk, she retired from Bethania Hospital. Princella was a ray of sunshine to everyone she encountered, sharing a brilliant smile, melodious laugh and tender hugs.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Velma Mosley, her loving husband in sickness and health of 32 years Lawrence S. McKenzie, and granddaughter Kinetter May.

Mrs. McKenzie was blessed to have a loving, blended family and a host of special friends. Loved ones left to carry on her Legacy and cherish her memory are her children, Jerry Walton of Hurst, Gail Walton May (Tommy) of Desoto and Gloria Walton of Arlington; grandchildren, Angela Eggins Jackson (Derrick) of Pasadena Texas, Nikia Davis of Desoto; great grand children, Johnathan Eggins (Breanna) Houston, DeAngelo Jackson (Anna-Lisa) Houston, ZeAndre Polk (Jaylin) Newberg, New York, Ashleigh Jackson, Xavier Davis, Jade Davis, Trinity Davis and Terence Kimbrough Jr.; great-great grandson, Alijah Eggins; special friends and family, Carolyn Wilson (Niece), Donna & Eric Foreman, Roy Sands, Linda Wetherspoon, and a host of additional relatives, loyal friends, and loved ones.

    Kenzie and I worked at Bethania ,she and I had a bond of such wonderful memories. We always had a good day laughing I remember when her daughter came home once and her granddaughter always called flower bed the Garden ,I really thought a lot of Kenzie Your mom was a great person Janet Hanks
