Refujia Maria Cedillo-Shaddix was born in Stamford, TX on July 3, 1925 to her loving father, Mucio Cedillo and mother, Maria Nieto. She departed this life on May 21, 2021.

Marie started her life in Wichita Falls, TX in 1953 with her son, Pete. She was a loving mother to her children, Pete C. Mendoya, Dianne Shaddix, Sammy Lynn Shaddix-Peoples and Mary Christine Shaddix. In addition she loved her fur babies, her beloved dog, Lilly Marrie Shaddix and her cat, Frederick Church-Shaddix.

She was gifted and blessed to be a caregiver to the aging. She spent her free time appreciating what God gave her and thanking him for it and spoiling Lilly Marie her dog. She enjoyed listening to her Mexican music.

Our mother Marie was appreciative and was not greedy nor envious of others. Our mother was humble, strong and ultimately enduring. Her beautiful smile touched many and was often commented by others.

She leaves to cherish her memory, son, Pete C. Mendoya (Gloria); daughters, Dianne Shaddix and Sammy Lynn Shaddix- Peoples; grandchildren; great grandchildren; longtime friend, David Rotter; friends, other relatives and and many new friends.
