Shirley Bass, a beloved 73-year-old, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2024.

Born on September 5, 1950, in Crosbyton, TX, Shirley graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Wichita Falls, TX. She dedicated over 30 years of her life as a nurse, finding immense joy in serving her patients with kindness, humor, and a nurturing spirit.

Shirley's unwavering confidence and clear direction earned her the respect of those around her, both in her professional and personal life. Shirley possessed a remarkable ability to guide others with a gentle firmness; people listened and knew they were in good hands.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jimmie Wallace and Mittie Wallace; parents, Jack Bass and Bernice Bass; and brother, Willie Bass.

Shirley is survived by her sister, Sharon Norris (Wichita Falls, TX); daughters, Kimberly Bass (Dallas, TX), Carla Easley (Theron) Columbus, OH, Kristy Pearson (Jacob) Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Nicole Patterson, Dallas, TX, Joseph Pearson Columbus, OH, Abigail Pearson Columbus, OH, Tristan Easley Columbus, OH; great-grandchildren, Joshua Patterson Dallas, TX, Aniyah Patterson Dallas, TX; nieces, Phylicia Brown Wichita Falls, TX, Chasney Bass, Dallas, TX, Chandra Draine, Houston, TX; nephew. Michael Norris Dallas, TX and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, family and friends who will continue to cherish the memories and joy Shirley shared with them.
