She Who Walks in Ma’at – Sacred Woman, Healer, Visionary

Maatkare Terry Elaine Thompson, radiant daughter of C.B. and Addie Thompson, was born under the southern sky of Wichita Falls, Texas, as the third sacred child in a lineage guided by purpose. She was educated within Wichita Falls ISD, graduating with honor from S.H. Rider High School in 1974. Her academic path led her through Midwestern State University, and further into her divine calling through the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, where she deepened her commitment to holistic healing and spiritual service.

Terry walked the path of the Sacred Woman, aligned with the divine feminine mysteries and rooted in the sacred teachings of the Goddess Temple. Her life was a spiritual offering — a powerful convergence of mind, body, and spirit in service to others.

She was a Health and Wellness Consultant, certified by the African Board of Thinkers, and a priestess who studied under the legendary Dr. Llaila Afrika, gaining deep knowledge in African-centered healing, spiritual sciences, and cultural wellness. She was also certified in homeopathy, and trained in many other natural healing modalities, becoming a trusted vessel of ancestral knowledge and divine healing.

Her passion for restoration led her to found Wholistic Health by Design and Ptah Ventures LLC, businesses built on the sacred principles of wellness, balance, and divine order — honoring the creative energy of Ptah, the Kemetic deity of manifestation and transformation.

Terry's spirit was one of fire and water — a visionary, prayer warrior, caregiver, and spiritual midwife, whose presence was medicine. She held sacred space for healing and rebirth, not only in individuals, but in families, communities, and generations to come.

She is survived by her loving brother Larry and sister Sonya, and her two cherished sons, Ralo Thompson (Cynthia) and Fred Cotton Jr., whom she called her greatest blessings — the source of her strength and joy. Her spirit lives on through her grandchildren: Roshona Robinson, Fred Cotton III, Prayeus Thompson, Kalari Elliott, and Dakari Thompson and business partner, Charles Jordan.

She is also the proud great-grandmother of Faith Elaine, who carries both her name and her sacred light into the next generation.

Terry Elaine Thompson now sits among the Divine Ancestors in the Field of Reeds, her soul at rest, her work eternal. As a Sacred Woman, Priestess, and Healer, her spirit continues to guide, protect, and uplift those who carry her blood and her teachings.

Ase. She is not gone — she has become the Ancestor.
