Willie Gene Wharry, Sr. was born April 5, 1939 in Idabel, Oklahoma to the late Artis Wharry and Odessa (Stokes). He departed this life and entered into his heavenly home on Friday, April 24th, 2020. He was a faithful Christian and had been a member of Morning Star Baptist church. He loved to fish, watch good western movies, science fiction and History Channels.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Reva C. Wharry Lee; daughter, Erma Laverne Adams; three sisters, Ida Mitchell, Louise Petty and Rosemary Clark and two brothers, Artis Wharry and Will Wharry.

Willie Wharry leaves to celebrate his homegoing; sons, Willie Gene Wharry, Jr, of Wichita Falls, TX, and Michael Williams. daughters, Jacque Wharry-McKenzie (Clyde) of Houston, TX and Lola Wharry of Richmond, TX; brother,Homer Lee Wharry of Dallas, TX, 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
